STITCHARTIST LEVEL 3
A recent skill I started dipping into is learning to digitize my pattern into embroidery. I purchased the Embrilliance StitchArtist Level 3 about a little less than a year ago in October 2021. Before purchasing this software, I did a lot of looking around and this is the most affordable software for beginners who wants to start digitizing their own embroidery.
What is nice about the level 3 edition is the ability to import my own Adobe Illustrator files. That cuts the time in half when trying to digitize my own design. Since most of my design are already vector art, it is just a matter of assigning the different line and fill stitch.
The learning curve is the knowledge behind what stitch is best suited for the kind of embroidery I am trying to make. The result I want are free-standing lace. In addition, I want to incorporate a lot of the Hmong styled cross stitching and embroidery style. With this software, I have the confidence that my vision is possible.
The application didn’t come with much instruction, however they have a handful of youtube video tutorials online. It can be a bit confusing because they have a lot of add-ons that uses the same program layout. The app itself looks pretty old school, but it does all that you need it to do in terms of digitizing embroidery.
